RAD MINI FOLDED PORTABLE
Maybe a normal cyclis will care about gear ratio more than anything but for us range, motor and comfort levels are important.Į-joe even the most portable one seems least comfortable one due to the saddle they have and strange riding geometry which i feel awkward. We e-bike riders are different from normal bicycle riders. I think main reason is either they don’t ride e-bikes or only ride bicycles.

PORTABILITY AND MOBILITYĮ-Joe seems like the obvious winner here in terms of the size and weight. I have tested all those e-bikes so i can agree about the “credibility” of the ratings. We will check specs rather than focusing on the brand name of the systems.įrom specs point it seems Ariel Rider has the highest torque and motor power then it is followed by Yamaha System of Haibike and Bosch of Tern. Tern Vektron is using Bosch Active Line, Haibike is using Yamaha PW and Ariel Rider is using DAPU mid-drive system. In none of those two motors, you can expect good climbing skills.
The 750W seems like peak power rather than nominal power.Į-joe uses Yonge 500w hub motor with 35 Nm torque so they come last in terms of motor performance. Bafang proved themselves as a reliable motor brand. As hub motors have only single gear ratio at such small hub motor impossible to create such high torque and if it has such high torque it means their top speed can never exceed 8 mph. I think this value was sent to them by Bafang as bafang has the same “high torque ” value. The specs look a little bit exaggerated as so far no hub motor we tested including bafang create 80 Nm torque, the actual value is around 45 Nm.
